The Ideathon event which has started off as a platform for students to implement Mathematical concepts in real life and provide solutions based out of various principles of Mathematics in the given problems statements now has reached a new horizon witnessing more than 1300 participants in Ideathon 2.O and more than 6000 participants in Ideathon 3.0 . It is organized jointly by 5th Pillar, VIT Mathematical Association Student Chapter and Department of Mathematics, School of Advanced Sciences. We joined hands in welcoming all to be a part of this Mathematical extravaganza

What is Ideathon?

An ideathon is a short, intensive, workshop-like experience for students to address some of the most pressing challenges of our time. Participants work in teams and use design thinking and innovative learning practices to ideate and collaborate on possible solutions. It is a 48hr event.

Any Prior experience required?

Having knowledge of any programming language would be benefitical, but even if you don't know you can form a team in which you can take up a different role.

What is the team size?

Team of minimum 1 and maximum 4 participants.

Is Ideathon Free to participate?

No! The ideathon is not free. You have to pay a registration fee.

What are the rounds in Ideathon?

There will be three rounds. Round 1 will be a Computer based test, Round 2 will be an idea presentation and Round 3 is the final round, where you have to pitch your idea.
